Noise in shared hall

Hello, we are thinking of booking with a site that has a shared (divided) hall. We were informed there will be a party on the other side but that noise doesn't travels but I'm very sceptical of that. Had anyone had a party like that? Was that an issue? Extra points if the response is from Royal ambassador!

What kind of a wall is it? Is it an actual structured wall that can't be opened, or is it a partition that can open up to make both rooms into one? The former could block sound properly (depending on the construction), while the latter most certainly will not.
It also helps to know if the walls have any type of padding and drapery as these materials help absorb sound.

Check and see what the reviews on weddingwire has had from other couples from that hotel. I would maybe post in your local wedding sell/swap groups on facebook. You might be able to find couples that have stayed at that pacific hotel and could give you info if they were able to hear anything. Even check out the reviews on google and their actual website of other peoples stays at that hotel as well.
