Newly engaged, Not sure where to start

Not sure if I'm over thinking or not, but figured since in lockdown for a while I could start planning in advance and give myself a head start. We're planning on a February wedding in 2022, we aren't positive on a budget yet due to work but we're planning a smaller wedding. Does anyone have advice on where I should start? I've started a guest list but that's about it right now.

Well he's said he had a surprise since February and that had me on edge for a while. Then when we were having dinner after finding out our work was closing due to covid he asked if I'd make him a specific tea, so I got to our tea cupboard and I couldnt find the tin anywhere. I got extremely frustrated and he just kept saying look harder until he finally broke and and the surprise is in there. I ran back and found a little note (picture included) and the ring box and sat in silence for a good 5 minutes or so and cried, I peeked my head around the corner to see him smiling with one tear on his cheek. I had to say yes. Originally he said he had written a song for me, but his friends computer crashed and couldnt complete it, I have the lyrics saved.Newly engaged, Not sure where to start 1

Happy to have you with us, Reece! What was your proposal like? What sort of wedding style are you considering? First of all I would make a budget and rough guest list, so you're already on the right track. Next I'd think about researching big-ticket vendors, like venue and photographer, as the best ones book up early (though you still have time for plenty of research of course!)
