Need food suggestions!

Hey all!

We're talking about food options and are looking for some ideas! We're getting married December 28th, semi formal wedding and I'll post a pic of the venue, too. It has a fireplace and super rich, warm colours.

What kind of food would you like to see as a guest at a winter wedding with a warm, cozy vibe?

I would do some type of roast and mashed potatos and veggies, soup option even. Honestly any hot food people will be happy!

A nice hearty soup! dinner with sides that are root veggies (when roasted they always remind me of winter time), maybe if you are serving tea and coffee have an option of hot chocolate with marshmallows!

Definitely like the idea of a warm cream based soup (not big into broth), and then anything with a mashed potato sounds good for winter Smiley smile

I agree that if you have to pick between a salad or a soup to go for a soup to warm your guests up! Otherwise I think comfort foods that can still be "elegant" like a prime rib or steak and roasted vegetables (as Katrin said) sound great.

Hearty soups! I love a pumpkin soup, squash ravioli, anything that plays off the season Smiley smile

If it were me i'd love something with roasted vegetables! Maybe a stuffed squash? Seasonal vegetables and chili is what I always think of to eat near a fireplace!

As a guest I'd want elevated comfort food like mashed potatoes, pasta, and a variety of seasonal veggies and proteins.

You may want consider a Hygge themed menu to compliment the cozy vibe without crossing over into Christmas/Holiday territory .
