I am still looking for an outdoor. And with Melissa's suggestions I am sure I can find something.

Emilie mentioned that there is a Canal in your city- I'm not familiar with the area...Would you be able to use a restuarant patio with a nice view? If you do the ceremony between dinner and lunch they might be willing to give you private access for a fee, if your cemeony isn't too long.

I'm sure you will find a beautiful venue in Lachine, it's such a beautiful area. Have you tried to find a location somwhere along the canal?

You could also have a look at the vendors in our directory see if there's one near you that could be beautiful for your ceremony

Yeah I tried. Unfortunately I live in Lachine and they don't do that. They used to though but not anymore.

Hum- well Valerie is right, you might be able to keep the reception venue as a back up at least!

Could you maybe speak to a local church? they often have nice gardens, and even if you are having a non-denominational ceremony, maybe they would let you use their outdoor space if you make a donation? Maybe a school would make an arrangement if any have nice gardens (a college might!)

Any friends or relatives might be willing to let you use their garden?

Can you do it in your reception venue? We plan to have ours outside but the venues back-up weather plan is to do it in the reception room and then just rejig the chairs and bring in tables to set up for the reception. Not ideal, but if you already have the space booked it can save any added expense

I am having my ceremony in a public park, beautiful gardens, outdoors, near the waterfront....all we need for that is a permit from the city!

Maybe you could look into that in your area?
