Hey! WeddingWire has a list of officiants you can contact directly through the app or webpage! I spoke to some of the Quebec officiants and my friend who got married in 2015 went with Aux Bras Ouverts (I think that was the name; they are in that list of officiants on Wedding Wire). As for what to look for, I think it'll be good to speak with them directly and ask about things like: cost (obviously lol), what does that cover, ex: 1 or 2 meetings, or more, how long are the meetings, do they have a set script or are they willing to personalize if that is what you want, are they booked on your date. You can also start thinking about things like how long you want the ceremony to be, do you want the person/ceremony to be bilingual or even trilingual, etc. Another thing to consider, probably less important since you are getting married in Laval is if they charge for mileage or travel time, what is the plan B in case something unfortunate happens to them or on that day (huge traffic jam, etc).

I spoke with Sylvian L'Heureux and he was really nice on the phone Smiley smile

Hope this helps! Smiley smile xo

Does your venue have a list of preferred vendors? I just booked my officiant and I basically looked at the websites of all the officiants preferred by our vendor sent emails to all the ones that I didn't immediately hate to see if they were available and what their costs were. We then picked the one we liked the best (good tone in email etc) to meet with and the meeting went well we like him, his approach and his ceremony style so we booked him. If we hadn't liked him we would have met with someone else.

If you venue doesn't have preferred vendors then there are lots on this site that will give you some people to look at.

    Hope this helps!
