Venue: in two weeks time, we meet with the vendor. Prestige Lakeside Resort in Nelson. It's a bit fancier than we would like, but we don't have access to outdoor space great enough to have it there.
On the other side of it, this means the catering is provided by the resort so that helps with that planning.
Music/DJ: this we're at a loss for. A live band would be super great but we're having a time tracking them down,
Wedding Cake: we don't want a wedding cake. Instead, we are planning on having wedding pies. It's gonna be a matter of who's making them now as I could definitely do it, but that requires more work on my part which I may not necessarily have the time for. The idea is relatives or people in the area which is easy enough to access.
Photography: neither of us care very much for it, but it would be nice to have a few pictures at least. There's one woman we have in mind, so it's a matter of booking it.
Flowers: we're making paper mâché vases and flowers made out of scraps of paper. This way, it can all be recycled after and won't break the budget.
