Music for the venue

Music is important to my wedding.. My partner and I love music style is alternative rock, New wave, punk, hard rock
progressive rock and indie music. We ain't big fans of the top 40 but will ask the dj to play for our guest. How do I blend both worlds?

    A good dj!!! one that knows how to mix will be able to do this with no issues!

    You could have your guests be able to request songs but still keep the main flow as rock as possible! It tends to be pretty flexible the night of

    If you have a DJ I wouldn't worry. They know what crowds like and how to keep people dancing. They can incorporate your songs with a few crowd pleasers and your guests requests to make a great party!

    Don't worry about the flow - at my wedding we had top 40, classic wedding/social songs, polkas, waltz', and 90's all rotating to please everyone and that way it gave each type of person a chance to break and take advantage of the open bar!

    Just have fun mixing it up and don't worry about blending the styles, as long as their danceable songs then I don't think people will mind. What FH and I are doing is making sure we have our favourites and then on the RSVPs we're having a "song request" line so we can add everyone's favourites, so there'll be a wide range of music. Our wedding is very inclusive where our guests are concerned since it'll be an intimate size
