Music!!

I say DJ over live band. My brother had live band for one event in hus wedding back in 2000 and was expensive. Adds up to your cost.

We're going with DJ! My friend is going to do it (he also has a band, so I was just trying to decide what to do)! But you're all right, we get much more of a variety with a DJ...thank you so much!

A live band will cost a lot more that a DJ. We had a classical guitarist for the ceremony and for the cocktail hour. It was about 2.5 hours. Then the DJ took over for dinner and later dance music.

I would also say DJ, live bands are nice but they don't give that overall party/dance feeling if that is what you are going for! We hired ForeverSounds in the Durham Region area!

We made our own playlist and were our own DJs for the day. It was a really fun thing to plan together! It was also super personalized that way.

I definitely recommend a dj! Like others stated, they can read the crowd, play something to get everyone up and dancing! Having an MC is definitely an added bonus, we had one and we are so happy with how the night went!

I also would say DJ. More options and they can usually read the crowd and know what to play to get people dancing and when to get people slow dancing. Also a lot of DJs provide MC services (ours did anyway) which is a bonus.

I’d say DJ as well. I feel there are more options for music with a DJ.
