Amazing! We have all those songs as well. I love that there are just the classic go to for getting everyone on the dance floor. So good.

Spotify all the way! I asked guests if there were any songs that would make them dance, and I got a lot of 'Pitbull, Flo Rida and Bruno Mars'.

Some classics that I know will get our party started will be 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody', 'Shout', 'Man, I Feel Like a Woman', 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)', 'Home For a Rest', 'Don't Stop Believin', 'Save a Horse', and 'Brown Eyed Girl'.

His family has an obsession for 'Everybody' by BSB and the Cha Cha Slide. I can guarantee the entire clan (all 40 of them) will be on the dance floor for those songs.

We are going to add Cadillac Ranch and a few country classics as well, much to my fiances chargin who DESPISES country music. But its the same as you, my family likes it! Ha.

Heavy Metal haha - FH and his Mom are walking down the aisle to an Iron Maiden song. *facepalm*. But its their thing and I support that!

My family likes the old school country like Fishing in the Dark & Cadillac Ranch, so those are being played for sure. Definitely some rock songs and then our DJ will add some of the most requested songs like YMCA and the Twist haha. My FH also wanted to have some 90's Hip Hop as well because it's one of his favorites era's of hip hop.

We aren't DJing our own wedding but we are providing him with a list of "must play songs" as well as a list of ones not to play, such as heavy metal. Im sorry, but I don't want to hear that on my wedding day

Yes Yes Yes! Uptown Funk is one of my most wanted. For my best friends wedding the bridesmaids and I learned the Michelle Obama dance with it haha. Shut Up and Dance is our entrance song! And the rest are on there as well. Such good music taste haha.

We're doing this too! I'm going to try and get people to request a song during RSVPs to add to the playlist.


One of my favorites is Uptown Funk (yep I'm that girl...) I've also got I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Shut up and Dance, Wannabe, and Mr Bright side. I figure they will get a good chunk of people on the dance floor!

Oh Don't Stop Believing is a CLASSIC for sure! Lots of years closing down parties with that song haha. Yay for Spotify DJing as well

We are doing a song request line too, I am curious to see what our guests want to hear.

FH and I are DJing ourselves with Spotify too! Our must have song was definitely Don't Stop Believing by Journey since it's a trip down memory lane for our group of friends since most of us are all grade school/high school friends and it was our song when we went on a big group camping trip in our last year in high school.
As for guest requests, we've got a "song request" line on our RSVP s😉

We gave our DJ our spotify playlist (Spotify.com/playlist/Tori's Social/ Wedding) and then a CD for the polkas Gotta have polkas!!!!
