Mini jars for favours?

Kayla, on June 22, 2017 at 13:51 Posted in DIY 0 15

Did anyone DIY Favours? My hubby to be makes apple butter and we want to do that as our favors. I am wondering if anyone has done jam or honey and were exactly they got their jars? I want minis but can't seem to find them anywhere. They need to be able to seal as well Smiley smile so we can do the preserving thing! So amazing that this community exists for questions! I love it Smiley smile

Thanks to everyone for reading!

Great idea amd would make a tag to go along with it. Amazon and ebay are good places to search for mini jars. Good luck and happy cooking!

I'm also making apple butter but putting it in regular sized jam jars. We only have 30 guests and I already had the jars at home. Sorry, I don't know where you can buy those tiny jars. Not much help, I'm afraid.

Love this idea, we are doing something similar - jam as favours. Amazon, walmart or canadian tire are probably your best bets for mini jars!

If not, amazon or ebay are good places to check out too!

Thanks Bethany! My guy makes it already and we figured it would be much more sentimental and give off an "us" vibe lol. Big ones are a good thought! I'm considering it Smiley smile

Sounds like a lovely and tasty favour! You can maybe try seeing if restaurant supply distributors may carry jars in bulk. I don't know if there is one near your area, but in Montreal there are few places that are open to the general public and you can find all sorts of jars/wrapping bags/containers/hors-d'oeuvre utensils etc. Good luck!

We are doing favour jars for cookie mixes. We got our jars from Canadian Tire. Very affordable.

My cousin did salsa and chokecherry syrup for her favours and she just used the small size of canning jars. I am not sure how big you are going for but you might want to check kitchen supply stores as they might have the best prices.
