How soon do folks start getting all of the legal stuff prepared?

    Melissa is correct! Very simple. You also need to pay the fee, which varries from city to city, so check a few by you for the cheapest if you want. No matter where you get the license, it is valid for anywhere in Ontario.

    In Ontario you can apply for your marriage license up to 90 days before your wedding. There isn;t much to it, just need 2 pieces of ID each and to fill out a form.
