Looking for venue ideas for Alberta or east bc

A lot of city governments have also added restrictions to AirBNB's short term stay policy in order to prevent too many different people using a single space. They're allowed for long term stays (ie month long) but short term stays have been banned in some cities.

A lot of AirBNBs restrict events from taking place at their properties so you'd want to make sure the owner knows you're planning to have your wedding there. You also run the risk of them cancelling last minute and you may have to scramble to find another location. I'd recommend just finding a small venue or perhaps a nice restaurant with a private space you can book out. You can still find an AirBNB or hotel where everyone can stay but it's less risky and logistically a bit easier that way.

There’s lots of cute bed and breakfasts in Canmore that do weddings. I was looking at several and they have 10 rooms(ish) and you rent all of them and then have the ceremony outside with the Mountain View and reception inside.
A couple to check out - a bear and bison inn, creek side villa.

I would maybe look into some hotels in the areas that you'd like, perhaps around Cranbrook? You may be able to find some and have an intimate dinner in their restaurant afterwards.

AirBNB has indefinitely cancelled any type of event-based booking on their listed properties.
