Does anyone have any ideas for a Hobbit/Lord of the Rings themed wedding?

Happy to help! For our decor a lot of it is based on rustic books, the story of us, things like that. Each table will have a nice little nod to whichever book universe it's named after (the Harry Potter table will have little Snitches for example). I also found a cool template to fold pages of books into different shapes and words, so we'll be incorporating that too, like this!

Continued.., Haha I’m sure the in laws would not appreciate mount doom 😂 they don’t have that sense of humour unfortunately.
The DJ we picked was very excited when i mentioned the LOTR soundtrack as he’s also a big fan.
We also found a gold ring arch to use so that will be funI’m actually using a lot of the ideas you suggested so thank you very Much. 🙏

    Hi Lauren,
So sorry for the late reply. I’m still getting used to how wedding wire works Smiley smile
A literary theme sounds like a lot of fun. What sort of decor will you have ?Thank you for the Arwen necklace and leaf of Lorian pin for the boutonnières. I’m currentlyLooking into both of those options ! I really appreciate that suggestion. I hadn’t even thought about that Smiley smile We were trying to think of table name suggestions and we only had come up with the different types of Hobbits, but I think the location name suggestion is better since more people will know those over hobbit surnames l.I also plan to list the menus as things like breakfast, second breakfast,

I love this theme! My fiancé and I are doing a literary theme, and Tolkien is one of our favourite writers so we're incorporating his work into our wedding as well! Some ideas for you below!

Bridal party:For your bridesmaids, I know there's a jeweller who makes Arwen's Evenstar necklace. They could all wear the necklace, and the groomsmen could wear the leaves of Lorien as the boutonnieres.
Table numbers:Have the different places of Middle-Earth be substituted in for table numbers! The Shire, Rivendell, Moria, Rohan, Bree, Hobbiton, Helm's Deep, Lothlorien, Grey Havens, Erebor, Lorien, Minas Tirinth, Gondor. Just don't use Mount Doom for your in-laws lol Smiley winking
Miscellaneous:I've also seen candles that have the writing on the Ring on them, perhaps you could use that in your decor?
Using any of the soundtrack to play as ambient music during dinner, as well as your entrance songs would be perfect.

Wow ? Thank you Hank. Those are awesome ideas Smiley smile we did try to book a barn but we couldn’t find one in the area that had what we needed so sadly that part is out, but I think we can make everything else work . We were thinking of using “In dreams” from the LOTR soundtrack for the ceremony. We have browns, greens and gold as our theme colours. My dress is bohemian/ish with long dangly sleeves Smiley smile . love the idea of a brown tweed suit instead of the typical black. I’ll recommend that to my fiancé as we haven’t looked into his suit yet Smiley smile and I’ll have to look for wood mugs- that’s a nice added touch. I’m talking to a decorator next week so I’ll have to see if she can accommodate that
    Thanks for the ideas

Use the soundtrack for your procession. Howard Shore's score easily lends itself to walking music for the bridal party. You can play straight from a speaker or hire a harpist to play the songs.

For a venue, look for a barn or farm type setting. If it's too cold for that, look for breweries and taverns with a wooden aesthetic. Think Distillery District or the Granite Brewery. Incorporate rustic elements into your decor. Wooden uncovered tables, serve beer in wooden mugs, etc

Food wise, a farmer's harvest style feast would be appropriate. Large hams, huge sausages, big wheels of cheese, roasted veggies, hearty soups, crusty bread.

Go for a more Bohemian style dress and incorporate a floral wreath as a head piece. And because your wedding is in November, your fiance can wear a brown tweed suit to look the part while staying warm.

Do you specifically only want The Hobbit or are you okay with incorporating elements from Lord of the Rings? Aragorn's coronation might as well be a wedding.

Wow that sounds like a really neat idea! Do you have that persons Etsy name by any chance ? I would love to check that out, if not I’ll try to just search flowers made from books Smiley smile thanks for the idea 💡Smiley smile

It wasn't our whole theme, but I knew from the beginning that I didn't want a traditional bouquet. I didn't even want to be carrying flowers, but then in my search for something to carry I came across this shop on Etsy of a woman that makes flowers out of book pages. I asked her if she'd be willing to make a whole bouquet out of them and if I could request a specific book. The Hobbit is my favourite book and she made it for me and even added little accent flowers in one of my wedding colours. It was one of my favourite touches to our entire wedding haha and felt much more personal.
