Looking for affordable venue suggestions in the Gta?

Carmen, on December 26, 2019 at 20:12 Posted in Ontario 0 5

Hi there! My fiance and i got engaged this past August and are planning a wedding for October 2021.

I'm currently looking for venues that won't cost me an arm and a leg. My (hopeful) budget for our wedding is $15,000 and we're looking at a maximum of 150 people. I'd like a rustic themed wedding but understand that it may not be possible.

I'm willing to have the wedding outside of the Toronto area (i.e. Vaughan, Hamilton, Bradford, New Market, etc.) If anyone has any suggestions, that would be much appreciated!!

Congratulations! You and your FH are on the same timeline as me and my FH! I want the rustic vibe as well. I like exposed brick and beams, so I feel you lol! If you want a restaurant, Archeo..it has a rustic charm to it. If you’re looking for a “hall” you can look at the fermentation cellar. Those would be my picks, maybe you would love them as much as I do - best 💛

    Hey there, Carmen!

Some great ideas and suggestions from the PPs. You can use the WeddingWire venue directory to search for venues in the area - Wedding Venues Toronto. You can change the location and also filter by venue type (restaurant, loft, etc.).

You could rent a condo party room or community centre or you can even rent a cottage on a lakefront and have the wedding outside and the reception right on the property itself

Have you considered a brunch wedding instead of the traditional dinner? That would save a lot of money.
Restaurants are another affordable option. At 150 guests you might be able to rent out the entirety of a restuarant.
Radius in Hamilton rents out their restaurant for events (they even have a beautiful 2nd floor patio that they do wedding ceremonies on) and I remember that the minimum amount required to have the whole place included without a rental fee was reasonable. It has a lovely rustic charm and might be worth looking into.

    Welcome to Wedding Wire Carmen!

Legions and halls always tend to be on the affordable end of rentals in a pinch. If you’re looking for rustic, perhaps there’s farms or barns for rent that are reasonable even if they’re outside the city? Even if you could find somewhere with property to pitch a tent ( or a park and get a permit).
