Hi everyone! My fiance and I are trying to plan our wedding for the summer of 2023. We live in BC and are from Vancouver Island but are living in Kamloops. We are open to venues in the Okanagan region but not in Kamloops, as well as (and preferably) on Vancouver Island. We also do not want anything more than a 5 hour drive from YVR (not including destinations on the island, this is more for the interior/mainland). The problem we are having is that we want outside catering (not catering from the venue) and we also would like to supply our own alcohol/bartenders. The other issue we are facing is that we do not want a farm/barn style wedding and it seems that those are the only venues that give you a bit of leniency in the world of outside alcohol and catering. Our venue that we fell in love with and checked all the boxes was "The View" in Victoria BC, however it was just sold and will not be hosting events anymore. If you have any ideas at all that may fit this criteria I would be so so grateful!!
