Therw is a possibility that if you ask phoyograhers to adjust their price having the timing you want and taking away the photo album if you choose not to get one.

Also when overlooking the packages or inquiring about details of whats included, see if they can cut some things out to accommodate your price. I only paid $1300 excluding the photo album.

I wouldn't go with a student. You want a seasoned professional - it's your wedding and it only happens once! It might be somewhere you want to spend more money just to make sure you get the results you want.

For Toronto Gali studios was the most inexpensive I found.

I believe it was $1300 for full day (10-12 hrs) photography and $2000 for full day photography and videography together.

Also consider hiring one for a partial day instead of the full day.
And check WW for discounts.

I second what Vinod said. Finding a college student or assistant would be your best bet.

Students starting out in colleges/universities may want that experience if you are willing to save more and hire one of them. They are getting the start and portfolio put together.
