Let's talk vows!!

We both chose to follow the common vows for the ceremony itself when we got married since my husband isn't much for public speaking. It made it easy for him to follow the words said by the Officiant.

We went with personal vows during the ceremony. Our wedding was pretty intimate, but there wasn't anything we wanted to say that we couldnt say with our loved ones around. And honestly, the were a hit. We both kept them short, with a little bit of humor in it, because we are big goofballs. Got a bunch of laughs. We also had lil vow books to read off, so we have those to keep and read in the future.

I too love personal vows, always nice to see a glimpse of the couples love for each other.

We are adding a smudging ceremony before our vows, so we have decided to stick with the traditional vows

My fiance and I will be writing each other a letter and reading them privately before the ceremony. We don't really like the idea of saying personalized vows in front of everyone; we agreed that there are memories/things that we want to keep between the two of us.

During the ceremony we will just do the traditional vows

This is where we are still undecided. My FH wants to do personal vows and I would love to do traditional.

We are having a videographer for just our ceremony and I would love to hear personal vows during this time and have our videographer record that moment too, whether it be before or after the ceremony.

You ladies gave me some ideas that I am going to shoot my FH with to see what he likes! Thanks!

Exactly, short & sweet! We actually just discussed it last night and we both decided traditional vows as well.
