Legal stuff

My hubby to be and I have decided that a very small intimate courthouse wedding would be best for us. However i have no idea how to go about this. Could someone tell me how many people we are allowed to have with us, what paperwork i need to get before hand and how, also maybe a pretty courthouse near Ottawa?

Not sure of all the details but my friends recently did this and from their experience this is what I think happens... You go to the courthouse to buy your marriage license and at that time you will schedule a date for a judge(or whoever) to marry you in the court house. It's kind of like an appointment. When getting the license and setting it all up you'll both need to be there with 2 pieces of valid ID. You pay and then wait till your date. They should give you all that information when you set it all up, in regards to who can come etc..
I believe my friends had 5-8 friends with them but I'm not 100% sure.
