Last name question - what should i go by during ceremony

Majority of guests all know I’ve been going by his last name however I’m not certian they all know I legally changed my name. We haven’t done invitations, signs and so on just yet, we’re not getting married till next July and honestly I never even thought about that stuff at this point lol.

I agree with Brittany that I'd like to know what name you've been putting on your invitations and STDs. Also, is it a well-known thing to those you're inviting to the wedding that you already legally have your FH's last name?

Hopefully your guests all know you're not related... haha. But if you want to use your maiden name for formality, I say go for it. I guess the question is, what name have you been using on your invitations/signs, etc...?

I would personally do maiden name!

I just don’t want it to sound funny like I’m marrying my brother or something lol. I have been going by my fh last name for the last year but I’m thinking I will have them address my by my former last name for the ceremony just so it isn’t weird.

You can choose what name to go by for the ceremony. It won't make a difference since the name change has been taken into effect.

This is completely up to you and what you feel comfortable with. Especially if you’ve been going by your new legal name during the past year.
