Is anyone going to diy flowers??

Kayla, on September 8, 2017 at 19:31 Posted in DIY 0 13

I'm going for a rustic theme, I would really like to cut some costs by either ordering from Costco or 50 flowers.. Any suggestions or something similar you are doing!? Who knew I would begin to religiously youtube flower arranging lol.... Is it a good idea to tackle this? I want centrepieces, a head table, some flowers for the arch we are getting married under, brides and bridesmaid bouquets and boutonnieres, maybe some other random as well.

Can I do it? What do you think? Below are some I LOVE for my bouquet but have no idea where to start... I actually made a centrepiece to try and the first picture is the one I made...

These are my patio centrepieces. There's a description in the DIY section.

I've made our flowers and patio centrepieces. Still have to make the dining table centrepieces but they'll be fresh flowers. Here's a picture of our bouquets.

You can do it. It's not that hard. Just watch "how to" videos on you tube and you'll save a ton of money.

My MOH and I made all our bouquets from dollar store flowers and they turned out beautiful. I also made the lapel flowers for the groomsmen with the same and a glue gun and floral tape (also from the dollar store). I'm going to purchase Costco roses the day before the wedding (just at the store because they're cheaper - $22.00 for 2 dozen roses) and use them in my centrepieces with some fall cattails and some greenery in vases. The arch we're decorating with mini lights, tulle, a fall swag bought at value village for $2.99, tulle bows, and whatever flowers and fall leaves I have left from my collection.

I think you can do it. That arrangement is very nice. There's no question for me that you can do this. Just need all the supplies.

I want to DIY too. I'm just scared I can't do it or that it would be too much work! But florists are so expensive.
