Invitation pricing

Monika, on November 4, 2019 at 15:25 Posted in Before the wedding 0 10

Hello,

My next step in wedding planning is the invites. What prices should I be looking at when I am talking to vendors? I cannot do them on vista print (or other sites). I do need them made. Any reccommendations? Thank you!

Inspiration for our invites minus the key and “toss me” envelope. We are doing save the dates, invites with the rsvp and accommodation cards and we paid $380 for everything. Invitation pricing 1

Just got mine in the mail actually! We went with minted. It’s a US website so we did have to pay in USD and then pay duties at the door.

The QUALITY though is amazing. I went through 4-5 rounds of editing requests and every submission edits came back super fast and the designers were so helpful in the comments. We actually got our save the dates from minted to ( post card style on really thick amazing paper) and they sent me a little wedding invite sample kit with a discount code for wedding invites. So it was kinda a no brained to go with them again.
Save the dates were 180 ish and 17 dollars in duties. And wedding invites came out to 500 ish with 22 dollars in duties.
ALSO THEY WILL PRINT ADDRESSES ON YOUR ENVELOPS for free. Just upload your spreadsheet to the site.

A lot of places the more you order the cheaper the price per invite gets. Even online sites like Vistaprint start at about $1 each for big orders, so if you're getting them made locally at a more boutique place I would expect higher prices. Plus if you want all the fancy layers and vellum sheets and embossing you will likely spend $5 or more per person before you even mail the invites.

I went with Vista Print - so I'm not sure about the pricing in actual invitation places, but I do know they cost a bit more. Is there a reason why you aren't going with Vista Print?

We were quoted $900+tax for our invites which are going to be folded invites (like the ones shown below), plus all of the insert cards (RSVPs, maps, etc.) and that was for 150 invites I believe, with envelopes.
