Intimate Ceremony

Hello! We are wanting a intimate and private wedding ceremony, family and close friends... however, we want our other friends and extended family to join us at the ceremony location after we are officially married to come and celebrate with us! We are having the ceremony in a brewery, so coming there after to hang out for 2 hours and enjoy some drinks. Does anyone have any advice on how to word that on a invitation?? Or is it tacky to do so?

    Make a seperate invite for those coming after the ceremony.

    Pretty much as if you're just inviting them to a party. What Bianca said is perfect. Asking them to celebrate with you with food and drinks. Be specific that it is just the reception, some may be disappointed thinking it's the ceremony too. And once again like Bianca said if anyone asks just explain only a small amount of family will be there for the ceremony.

    "We'd be delighted to have you help celebrate the marriage of "BRIDE" and "GROOM" at "BREWERY" with some drinks and light finger food"

    If anyone asks what time the ceremony is, just explain to them that you're keeping it intimate but want to celebrate with everyone afterwards.
