Indoor venue... secure outdoor back up?

Hello summer/ Ontario 2021 brides!
We currently have an AMAZING venue to work with for our reception... however it is an indoor facility with no outdoor option. The venue has provided lots of options except a refund, which I think is fair all things considered. I was able go find another venue that has an outdoor terrace on the same day 30 mins away from church where our ceremony is taking place but it would mean putting a deposit and essentially planning a second backup wedding. Fiancé says ballroom or backyard (with close family only) and make the best of the situation. He also says we can’t decide anything until we are closer to our day/ mid to late May. By that time, I think the terrace will be gone. We’ve already postponed a year from 2020 and I’m not interested in postponing again. Wedding is July 3. We do have the option of postponing the reception to end of September or November... but that doesn’t excite me ... thoughts?
