Indoor Engagement Shoot in Toronto?

Zoe Grace, on January 13, 2020 at 10:56 Posted in Ontario 0 7

I am having the hardest time finding somewhere to do our engagement/pre-wedding shoot. I wanted to have us walk around downtown Toronto somewhere, but my photographer only will do outside photography if its around 8 degrees, which it will not be :/ My only options are to wait until just before the wedding or after, or find somewhere inside. I don't want to pay a million dollars for a photo permit...any suggestions?

If you want outdoor photos, I would find another photographer who can do that for you! No need to compromise if you can avoid it. We are having ours taken in early March (so it will definitely be less than 8 degrees!!!) and chose Trillium Park because it has an incredible view of the Toronto skyline, which we really wanted to have in the background. Happy to give you our photographer’s details if you would like them! She is very talented and reasonably priced Smiley smile

I would ask the photographer if they have some favorite spots.
I've also seen some cute photos in cafes or pubs that almost look like candid shots of a date. If you have a favorite date spot I would ask them if they allow photos.
I'm not super familiar with Toronto, but are there botanical gardens or even an aquarium to visit? If you go to either outside of peak hours you could avoid some tourists in the photos.

Does your photographer not have any of their own suggestions? That's something they should know if they're going to insist on doing it indoors. Have you already paid this photographer for this service? Because I have an amazing photographer friend in Toronto that will do anywhere any time, and you can find others too I'm sure.
