Ideas

Sherrie, on October 30, 2019 at 10:03 Posted in DIY 0 10
I am looking for some simple ideas for decorating a space. I want to keep this in my hunt for a venue. I wanted to do a three pane center piece with decopage photos on each pane; and a candle inside of it. But I am not sure I will be able to get all the frames the same size. (We are spray painting them to match our colours so that really isn’t a issue). But if I can’t find enough of the picture frames I want to keep a back up in mind.

That's awesome! You could have fun matching the personality of the photos with the "personality" of the frames!

I like that idea. And since we are using a variety of photos of both our child hoods and that, would make it fit better. As well as we are planning to build a custom holder for the panes after the wedding.

If you can't find frames that are exactly the same size, then you could go with frames that are COMPLETELY different from each other! Then if they are all spray-painted the same colour it will look like you're doing some cool trendy mis-matching thing! My friend used picture frames for her table numbers and she sprayed them all gold and they were all super different from each other so it gave each table its own little personality!

They are fine because no paper is near them. Just thinking unfort If Someone has one too many. And knocks it over. I might have to test it between the two. As there will be a mirror tile under to reflect up the light.

I'm a sucker for real candles. LED have come a long way, but I don't feel like they throw off the same warmth and flicker of a real flame.

But check with your venue, they might have a rule about open flames.

That was pretty much the idea and with 18 months to get everything together will have time to do it a couple times. Though debating fake LED candles or tea lights in the middles.

That would work too, I was thinking if you knew you needed 42 frames it would be easy to order online.

The nice thing about Dollarama is that there are like 5 in every city, so you could clear out every location until you find enough!
