How would you decorate my reception space?

Linzer, on February 25, 2017 at 18:27 Posted in Wedding reception 0 19
Hello ladies! I have a pretty clear vision but I would love some input on decor for my reception venue! We are going for romantic and lots of florals. I'm hiring a MOC to help set up my decor but not a florist/ designer for the reception space (just the outdoor ceremony). I
We are doing cocktail / food station style for 75 people at 7pm.
What do you think? Imagine money is no object (lol jks just for this excercise) and I have well over a year to create anything I want haha

OOOMG, your venue is absolutely GORGEOUS! So nice! I agree with the suggestions made here, I don't think I can add anything better to this discussion lol. It's such a beautiful space on its own as well, that anything you add will just elevate it (because I know you have great taste)!

Yes! You should ask the restaurant before buying stuff for them, but I don't think they'll have an issue. I got a wreath frame that has 4 circles on it, so I just took it apart and I'm doing them now haha Smiley smile

I could so make those hula hoop ones!!! Those are awesome thanks!! I could do them hanging from the wooden rafters on the sides.
Probably could hang from the light fixtures ....right? :/
It's totally the balance of industrial meets nature.

100% I'd do the "hanging centrepieces"! I'm doing a combo of these haha! Also, Michael's has a majority of their faux flowers on sale right now for 40% off! I may have gone today Smiley catface

Here are some ideas. I would keep it simple and easy. Your venue is beautiful on it's own.

Ohhh I do like that idea too! Thanks Talita!
Gotta love the dollar store, there's like 3 within walking distance of me, and a Michaels on my street to boot so I have my pick of DIY sources haha

I know, they are kinda of expensive... but you could always get some of those cylinder vases from the dollar store and try to DYI something on them on the colors of your wedding... You can either put candles or flowers in them.

    I know right?!
So I was thinking of re using flowers in vases from my ceremony as well as throwing some containers with fairy lights on tables as well as some tea lights.
I know mason jars are more "rustic" than modern, but of I did plain Glass containers (no imprinted text like in the picture and a nicer top) do you think it would work with the vibe? I was trying to source those rose gold geomotric hurricane vases to use but they all go for like $30+ a pop it seems and I'm too cheap.

That's even better than... you can just put vases here and there, cheaper and simpler as well! Smiley winking

Ahh those are awesome! We aren't doing a lot of centerpieces as there isn't a sit down dinner, just tables scattered throughout the space!
Colours are pale blue, pink with champagne and green accents.

This is a very clean, open and modern space. I'd say if you want to go romantic, try to be modern romantic, cause thats whay the place vibe is. Maybe something like this... I gues it all depends on the color pallete you're going with.
