Nope... he didn't propose until 5 months later... men. Though it's good, I would have been WAY too stressed. The puppy was A LOT of work in the beginning, I've had puppies before, but she was just a ridiculous amount of work (still is most days).

Wow! That's amazing Fernando!! Your proposal was almost somewhat like a wedding in itself! It must have been hard for the whole family to keep the secret! Is it tradition to do things this way in your families?

Well it was a surprise for sure! I love animals but we had never talked about getting a dog... it was a bit of a misguided surprise... but we made it work. It's that darn cute face that sucked me in!

Oh my gosh that's so funny! Disappointing in the moment I'm sure, but a funny story now!

I had a similar situation with my fiancé, I was determined that he was proposing around Christmas last year because I could tell it was something big... imagine my surprise when I got a puppy instead. I had driven myself a little crazy with the anticipation and for the following 4 months or so.

We had the proposal at a banquet hall, there were 600 people there. There was a ceremony with our officiant he did the Blessing Of The Rings. Everyone had dinner it was very similar to our wedding reception. It took longer to prepare than the wedding itself just because I sourced all the vendors myself and I didn't know where to begin. I wanted to do something spectacular because we always talked about getting engaged when she graduated from university and on the night of her grade have her a pair of diamond studs snd she assumed it was the ring and said yes, she was really disappointed that it wasn't a proposal
