How to make the bride and groom kiss

Kate-Lynn, on March 10, 2020 at 09:49 Posted in Wedding reception 0 8
Hello, looking for ideas on fun easy ways to “make the bride and groom kiss”. Going to make a small placecard for the table.

I saw one idea I really liked - get 2 kinds of hershey's kisses candy and put them in a jar that isn't see through. If the person picks 'x' colour, you kiss - but if they pick 'y', they have to kiss someone!

I went to a wedding where each table had a different song on the table. The emcee would call out a table number and ask them to sing the song on the table as a group to serenade the newlyweds. While the table sang the song, the couple had to kiss. This was a very cool and unique way to get the couple to kiss.

    Hope this helps

I like the idea of having different things to do. The super outgoing ones can do something silly (like a song or dance), the reenact the kiss, or there’s also share a story (but those can be long and constant, it’s just also a way for people who aren’t in the wedding party to give a speech in a way)

If people want us to kiss, then they need to get up in front of everyone and show us how it's done! It's more fun than a glass clinking, and will surely create some laughs (everyone has that crazy aunt and uncle who are dying to embarrass you!)

My venue does not allow glass clinking for the bride and groom to kiss. I will have to figure out a way for everyone to use. I don't think there will be too much because I am not planning on being on a raised platform so no one will really see us during the meal.

You can have a specific word that people can say?

There's the traditional glasses clinking to get the bride and groom to kiss.

At our wedding if you wanted us to kiss you had to stand up and sing a song with the word "love" in it.

I've seen people have to get up and dance for them to kiss.

I've seen guests have to kiss and then the bride and groom have to re-enact the kiss.

I went to a cousin's wedding when I was much younger where they had answer a question, make a donation, or sing a love song for kisses. They had a microphone set up and a bowl full of questions about the bride and groom who only kissed if you got the answer right.

I've also seen wheels to spin with types of kisses (peck, smootch, etc.) And a price list where different kinds of kisses have price tags to help fund the honeymoon ($5 for a peck, $10 for a smootch, $20 to dance with the bride or groom).
