Hey guysSo we are going to be married in our church by the pastor. I am wondering how much to pay him. It is a small church, and he is a good family friend. I don't want to under or over pay himSarah

Hey Sarah, I would ask at the parish office if there is a suggested donation amount. The place where I was married offered me a very simple sheet with the rules of the church as well as suggested donation amounts, maybe your place has something like that?

Usually people have a regular price that they charge. If he isn't giving you a number, between $250-350 is fairly typical from what I found when we started planning.

$200 dollars is the normal amount to pay. Most wedding officiants for civil ceremony charge around $350-$400
