How many peaches?

Hi! We are serving them over ice cream and alongside cake.. so we figured approximately half a cup per person (125 people rounded up to 130 times half a cup is 65 cups) we had jars that have 4 cups a jar (so 65 cups divided by 4 cups per jar is 16 jars) So we planned to make a bit extra to be sure.. the boiler we used held 7 jars, so we just rounded up to (7*3) 21 jars! that gives us quite a bit extra actually. All in all we have 84 cups (21 times 4) which used just over 100 peaches.

Hope that helps. Hopefully it will be enough for us! It will be eaten after dinner too so I imaging the people won't be starving haha.

Canning fruits depending on the size of the jar varies. Small size would average about 2 per, medium about 4-5 per and large about 6-7 per.

Peaches for 125 guests taken with the larger proportions.

Small = 250

Medium = 625

Large = 875

Peaches being served with Ice cream at the venue, then 3 average considering that not everyone may like them. Size proportion cut into 8 slices per peach would be 16 (125 * 8 slices per peach). Total slices = 375 (125 x 3 slices).

I agree with Becky - except the peach in my brain says that half a peach would be 4 slices In that case I would say you need to use just less than 50 peaches

This will be soo yummy with the ice cream! I would say if your cutting peaches into slices that you should do 3 slices per person approx. which could be half a peach per person
