How do you celebrate nye with your fiance(e) / spouse?

What is everyone's plans for tomorrow evening?


Are you the kind of couple who go to a big event? Or do you go to a quieter house party with friends? Or do you stay in jammies and order in?
We are usually the type to stay in and eat Chinese take-out. In fact, I usually don't stay up to midnight 😴 This year we got tickets to this big gala and I'm ridiculously excited. My husband's birthday is New Year's Day so I'll be getting up early (ish) the next day to make him breakfast in bed.
Tell me how you celebrate (or don't celebrate) the New Year.

    Well... we went to a friends house - IN OUR JAMMIES! lol

    We ended up going to our friends house with a bunch of others and everybody either brought an appatizer to share or one couple brought apple pie shots, and we brought all the party hats and noise makers Smiley smile

    I worked until 8 then we watched part of a series we are going through and didn't realize it was new years until others started to text us at midnight.

    We usually stay in or host/attend a house party. This year is a stay-in year due to DH's work schedule and our fridge leaking while we were away -.-

    This year we’re just staying in. With wedding planning and Christmas we’ve just been busy lately and I especially want to just take a rest and hide under my weighted blanket. I’m also on the mend from a chest and sinus infection. We’re also not party people anyway. Making it to midnight can sometimes be hard.

    We normally spend New Year’s Eve with my fiancées family and we spend New Year’s Day with my family

    My stepdads birthday is New Year’s Day! Usually we spend it with my family, they host a party every year.


    Next year I think we’ll start our own tradition and do something ourselves.

    We have friends visiting from Toronto so we're having a nice night in with food and drinks.
    Depending on the weather we might get snowed in, which is fine because our new year's day tradition is watching big fat quiz show with the same people!

    It changes year to year depending on whether or not he works. I almost always prefer to order pizza and stay in, but sometimes there's a good reason to leave the house. This year he is working, but I'm heading out of town with my best friend. She has no idea her boyfriend is proposing tomorrow! 😍

    We usually play games and watch movies in our PJs then turn the NY ball drop on just before midnight. This year, we moved though so who knows, we might change it up!
