How did you ask your bridesmaids??

I asked my maid of honour by having it written on the side of her cup while we were getting coffee at Starbucks
I didn’t really do anything super special for mt other two bridesmaids, but for my junior bridesmaid I gave her a card and a bottle of purple polish and asked her if she’d wear my colors with me that day

I'm lame - I just met up with them and asked them. Except one girlfriend who lives in NYC - but at least I called her!

I made each of my 6 Girls handmade cards asking them to be a Bridesmaid and 2 MOHs. I bought scratch cards with an engagement ring on it & put them inside the card asking will you be my Bridesmaid? I also made the Girls & our Moms these little paper dolls. My Bride tribe. I attached buttons from Party City that say Mother of the Bride, Bridesmaid etc. (everyone can wear them at rehearsal etc) Inside the box was an eternity symbol anklet & the 2 Mohs got an eternity toe ring as well. I'm not sure just how many days & hours working on these... but it was worth it! I gave these out in Person so I had that special moment with each Girl.

I didn't even ask. It was a general understanding with my sister that she was going to be my MOH, and I haven't gotten around to asking my bridesmaid yet since she's a late addition!

I honestly asked a majority of them drunk at various parties hahaha!

They all knew soon after the engagement I wanted them on my team! Some knew before I was even engaged hahah!

I am getting them gifts just before the wedding, but I didn't do anything special to actually ask them!

I just asked in person. My two college best friends were still in the same town as I so we went out one night and I asked them at dinner. While visiting family, we asked my brother and his sister to be in the wedding party. My FH asked his best woman when we were visiting friends and we took her out to dinner.

We only asked two over text: my childhood best friend who asked me to be in her bridal party over text so I asked her at the same time, and his childhood best friend who was living in Australia at the time.

I went simple. but geared towards them. i bought cheapy knot bracelets (5 from amazon for like 15 bucks). and then on zazzle i got them each a unique ask them card that fit their personalities (zazzle as a heads up has expensive shipping if only ordering 1 or 2 items. but when you get a bunch its cheaper).

and then i mailed them to all of them but 1 (as she lives in my town). they all loved him.

I didn't want to go all this way out for the cost. We went to the individuals directly and told them we would like them to be part of our day and up with us.

I had stickers made from Etsy and then just bought inexpensive bottles of wine! My picture won’t upload but they replaced the label and had their names with “ will you be my bridesmaid” under
Literally wrapped them in tissue paper and made them all close their eyes and open them together

I honestly just asked them individually, I couldn’t wait till I had the money to put things together as I actually lost my job the week after we got engaged before asking.

This is what I made for my 4 BM and my MOH:

It had:

- a pink SQUAD hat

- a bachelorette party bracelet

- a candle that smells awesome!

- an EOS lip balm

- and a bottle of wine that they like with a sticker asking the big question!
