Hey, I was suggested to make activity kit for preteens?

Jamie, on March 8, 2020 at 12:43 Posted in Wedding reception 0 6

I have invited my godchild and her friend to my wedding, they are the only kids at the wedding.
They are 12, and 13 years girls.

Thinking of putting a little pre-teen activity kit.. Any suggestions?

Have you ever heard of how Disney does hidden mickeys? Obviously not mickeys, but you could do something like hidden rings and make it a bit of a scavenger hunt. Could either have drawn ones on certain items, but could even get fake ones or something. Hidden in a centrepiece, near the desert table, on the back of a chair.

I would say that my friends kid who is 10 is really into Madlibs? As long as you don't think guests will be annoyed by the kids asking people for words then that would be something they could do?

I was just thinking of this exact dilemma yesterday - I'm not sure what options to offer our one 9 year old who is attending. I'm not sure if he'll want to play our yard games that we'll have set up, but the other younger kids' coloring books and bubbles definitely don't seem age-appropriate :/

I don't know about activities, but maybe a fun mocktail at the bar so they can fee like they have a grown up drink, and maybe ask them for a few songs for the playlist that they will dance to.

Friends of mine did speech bingo at a friend’s wedding. (Now they didn’t shout bingo in the middle of the speeches) but they had funny options like: best man tells embarrassing joke, someone cries, etc. Kids that age though tend to be pretty good at weddings.
