Help Me Decorate this Venue

VenueHelp Me Decorate this Venue 1

Hi Everyone. I could really use some advice for decorating my venue. Our wedding is in mid-September and we're doing it in an old school private club. It's just about the furthest thing from a neutral venue you can get. (Don't even get me started on the carpet.) What would you recommend for decorations? My fiancee wants a green and pink colour palette, but with the blue/walnut walls I think that's gonna be a mess of colour. Like the photo above, I feel like most things should be white. Thoughts?

I love the look of the white in that place. and with the lights.

we aren't doing color in our décor because the bridesmaid dress color I want is so unique. so we are sticking with silver, white and candlelight/mini lights.

I like the idea of using a lot of white and greenery in your flowers and decor. If he really is into pink I'd stick with blush shades. I think that would soften up the blues without being overwhelming at all. It's a really beautiful room, I really like all the blue! What color will your BMs wear?

A neutral colour palette is definitely your best option when you have a venue with so much colour. You could also add metallics to help make things pop. If you wanted to add some green and pink I would do it subtly in your flowers (for pink I would use soft blush colours and add in some greenery). To decorate the room itself I would keep it simple because you don't want to do too much and have things clash. I would do some uplighting and a backdrop and leave the rest of the decor on the tables.

I would stick with a more neutral colour for the majority of the table decor and consider more subtle pops of pink and green. Like keep the flowers to pinks and creams or whites and use green in the name tags or table numbers. Or other elements like green glass for vases, you could use green vintage books as an element for the vintage feel of the room.

White looks classy over green and pink personally. The teal i do agree with Clarissa would tie in nicely with the colours of the wall and carpet.

Two things may help to show the teal are:
    1. Sash around the chair
    2. Centerpeice to add both white and teal/blue.

If you want to go green and pink I would suggest either going with a green in the blue/teal. And I agree white would help balance it out. Or embrace it and go more rich, vibrant and tropical with the colours (think bright summer florals).

The other option is going all out and laying down a different carpet and doing draping and wall panel displays.

I think if you do the green and pink I would keep it minimal and have lots of white like in the picture. It’s fine to add some colour, I guess I would also depend on the shades of green and pink you’re thinking? Pale and softer shades I think would be nice. I love white for weddings and it looks nice next to the blue.
