Help! Invatiation advice

Shannon, on April 10, 2019 at 08:04 Posted in Before the wedding 0 6
Hello!
I am have a very small wedding ceremony is at a castle. I am struggling to figure out what I want for wedding invites. I was going to do something extra / over the top that people would talk about for years. I contemplated scrolls in boxes written in calligraphy. Silly wonka chocolate bars get the golden ticket. Viewmasters. The newspaper ones. But now I am thinking I want something that’s going to better the environment like the invites being in plantable paper but I don’t love the ones I see online. I am also wondering if anyone knows of any companies like “me to we” where you purchase a card and a bit of the proceeds go to education in first world countries or getting clean water. Helppp

I found this girl I follow on instagram who did a scroll for a seating chart. Maybe she can also do your invites in the same manner?

I'm just going to say the paper scroll idea sounds AMAZING!!! My vote is 100% for that!

If you can fit all information and details on the one scroll page you can save on costs and environmental waste there! And (I know this goes against the whole castle aesthetic) but doing online RSVPs would be a good idea to help too!

I would say your best bet is to talk to a company that makes wedding invitations - you may not like what you see online but perhaps they have a different type of paper that is plantable that you do like.

That or I would suggest using eco-friendly paper/ recycled paper.

This is a great idea to be more environment friendly with invites! I have seen photo's on here of someone doing a scroll type invite that had burned edges. Have you had a chance to look through the photo's? If you are having a small wedding and want to do something more unique as idea's you have mentioned. I would talk to a local invitation place and see if they have done anything like this before and their suggestions.
