Help!!

Thank you so much! we made it through and picked our venue!

It really depends on the person. For me, I am currently struggling to find a venue that checks out on all my points in my list.

1. Make sure your date is available.

2. Make sure it will fit your guest size.

3. If you are having your ceremony at the same facility as the reception, make sure they can accommodate both. (Ask for the prices as well as some places do not disclose they charge extra for ceremony & rehearsal space without being questioned about it).

4. If you want to bring your own catering or use theirs. Prices of this.

5. Overall price of renting the facility. Is there a deposit required? Rental of banquet on top of your food and drink costs? Or is the pricing of rental per person? (e.g. one venue we looked at only charges per person $25.)

I think you need to make sure it is in your budget and will accommodate your guests. As long as you can picture yourself having your wedding there as well you can figure out the rest.

For me, it first needs to fit my budget, then my guest list size, then be in a convenient location, then I want to make sure the style suits the kind of wedding I want to have. After that I want to make sure they will allow me to work with the vendors I want, and I want to know that they are highly rated and well reviewed.

What kind of venues are you considering?

There are a lot of factors there! You need to consider which one is what you picture for your special day. You also might want to look at what each one may provide you (does it come with chairs and tables? Is there a caterer affiliated with the location? How long will they give you for set-up? How many people can the venue fit? Etc.)

We went to a few and then weighed out the pros and cons then chose from there. Look at the overall package and what they can offer you.
