Nope! I'd want to at least have a tasting before the wedding to ensure that the food is good, otherwise, who knows what you're going to get!

I also think that if your venue has recommended them then the catering company must be decent as your venue wouldn't risk their reputation by recommending poor partners.

I agree with Lisa, shouldn't be a problem since they have great reviews but see if they'll provide a reference or two. Also if they have a facebook page, look at some of the couples who booked them and reach out! If there's a local wedding buy and sell group, you might be able to ask in there too!

I think it's okay given that they have so many great reviews! Maybe ask fro a reference and see if you can call a recent couple that used them just to ensure you feel secure in your choice?
