I am starting to research hotels to where my bridal party and I will be getting our hair/makeup done. My venue is at Sunnybrook Estates and it seems there are not alot of hotels in the surrounding area. The ones that are available seem to either not have the best reviews or be a bit outdated in terms of amenities/furniture. We will of course be taking "getting ready" pictures so I want to book a room with nice decor/atmosphere.

Anyone in the GTA know of a good hotel near Sunnybrook? I live in a condo and that is where my fiancee will be getting ready.

Unfortunately I do not have access to the bridal suite until 2 hours before the ceremony Otherwise I would definitely get ready there.

At this point I will likely look into Airbnb options or the Novotel near North York Centre. They seem to have some nice suites that might work for getting ready

I 2nd the Airbnb option - it'll probably have more space than a hotel room, and potentially more than 1 bathroom! lol. I think the tricky thing is typically they want a 2 night stay minimum. Not sure if this is your style but I liked the blue couch and the natural light. Personally I've had good luck w/ messaging airbnb hosts if you find one you like, and asking for an exception to the rule.

Out of curiosity - why did you choose to not get ready at the venue? I'm looking at the McLean House at Sunnybrook for a 2021 wedding, and the bridal suite looked very pretty

Hey Clauds!! Welcome to the community!!
if you are not a huge fan of any of the surrounding hotels, you could also look into some Airbnb's in the area that you and the bridal party could stay the night before and get ready. Is this something that you would be interested in?

The roehampton and toronto don valley hotel are not too far at all less than 10 min drive!
