Getting married July 10, 2021

Chanelle, on January 4, 2021 at 20:11 Posted in Alberta 0 5
Hello! I wanted to check in on how my Summer brides were doing! This is my postponed date, originally July 4, 2020. We are going ahead regardless this time. I have not even opened my wedding planning stuff since April and am struggling to do so with all the unknowns. Trying to stay positive! Would love to be able to have all my friends and family there. How is everyone else feeling?

I hear ya! I'm so torn on what to do Smiley sad. Our original date was July 16, 2020.. New one is July 11, 2021 in Leduc. I'm so unmotivated from last year, and don't want to go through all of the planning and then have to cancel everything. Honestly we are planning a vacation in December and might just elope. Deciding what to do is so hard though, we have almost 175 guests on our list. Not how I thought my wedding and planning for it would go that's for sure!

Good luck to all of us! Hoping for the best and may we all have the weddings of our dreams.

I feel you on this! I’m crossing my fingers it’s a bit better than only 10 people. So hard to plan a wedding with all the unknowns. Good luck with wedding planning I hope it all works out for us😊

Thanks for your reply! I felt similar to you last year about really wanting the wedding I planned for, which is why we postponed. Definitely don’t regret that decision either! However, I don’t think I could go through a second time as I would then have to postpone to 2023 due to me writing my CPA exam next summer 😓. We will go ahead either way this time, but hopefully with more than 10 people! Best of luck to you, glad to hear your already so organized and prepared if you needed to push it!! That’s awesome!

    Hi Chanelle

Having a community like this has been so helpful amongst all the chaos! Our date is Aug 7th, 2021 in Edmonton. We have just started talking about possibly pushing it to 2022 and will most likely decide in the spring. We have our venue (restaurant), DJ and photographer booked, but they are all able to move our deposit to a new date if needed. As much as I don't want to push it, the idea of walking down the isle with everyone in masks, spacing out tables and no dancing doesn't appeal to me either. Its a big day that you only get to do once and we both want the full experience. Our guest list is around 80 people so I'm still really hoping it can still happen this year! I haven't been very motivated with planning other details until we know a final date. I feel for anyone that's already had to move their wedding once, thinking all would be good by now.

    Hi Chanelle!

My fiance and I are getting married August 7 in Kelowna BC but we live in Edmonton. We had postponed from August 8 2020. I finally started looking at the wedding stuff again just the last couple of weeks since we postponed back in May. We don't have anything left to do everything was ready for the wedding to begin with so now it's just a waiting game.

But it's definitely nerve racking to say the least not knowing how many guests we're going to be able to have and if we're going to have to wear masks or not and the six feet apart deal. Not to mention the possibility of postponing again if gathering sizes doesn't increase more then 10. It's very stressful
