Get a marriage license

Hello everyone,
Our wedding was scheduled on May 8th, but of course it didn’t happened. We are looking to get the marriage license so we can proceed with the religious marriage only! but unfortunately City Halls are still closed!

Do you know by any chance a clerk office that is open and able to issue a marriage license anywhere in Ontario?

    They do ask when you book the appointment, however we are not local (about an hour away) and were able to get one so don’t think it will be a problem! 😊

    Thanks Kelsie. I called them and they told me in june and by appointment only. The priority is for local residents but i still give it a try and call.

    We got ours in St Thomas (near London) they are doing them by appointment only!

    Hi!


    I work for the Town of Oakville and starting next week we will be issuing marriage licenses on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday’s by appt only. 1 person can attend with both sets of ID & signed application!
    I know we are a group of a few municipalities to roll this out in the next coming weeks!
    Check around, lots will start issuing in the next few weeks Smiley smile Goodluck!

    I think someone here mentioned Cobourg is giving out licenses by appointment only.

    Depending in what area is open and the drive time considering they may ask for a day. The same day would be great. Inquire before making the trip.
