Garter toss

I wouldn't worry too much about conservative family! The garter toss is a tradition and most people expect it TO happen! As others have said just wear it lower! My dress is super tight till about my knees so I'll be wearing mine JUST above the knee for him to go get! If it were any higher he wouldn't have a chance to get it haha!

While I'm nixing the garter/bouquet toss, I agree with others and have the garter on your calf/ankle so he's not all up in your dress in front of family.

Like Tori said, even though they are more conservative, they might like tradition, and the garter toss happen to be one.

I'm thinking the same way that Kelsie is - just because they are conservative doesn't mean that they don't like the garter toss! It's traditional which they could be very into - when done tastefully and not silly/inappropriately.

I like the idea of putting it maybe on your calf and just make sure your Fiancé is aware of your concerns so he doesn't go all out!

You could slide it down and he can take it off your foot so he doesn't have his head up your dress.

I really don't want to do a garter toss either, but if we do, I'm putting it on my ankle lol. Get it over as quick as possible!

You could use a garter that’s not on your leg?

surprisingly, my FHs family are very conservative and the garter toss is important for them. Which totally shocked me because I agree with you it’s pretty invasive having your husband going up in front of everyone!

Im going to go with tradition but if you’re really uncomfortable, which I definitely can understand, I’d either just have him throw another garter that’s not on your leg, or you could place a garter lower on your leg for him to get that’s less invasive to you?
