The options for food are endless... you could go for literally anything decent as long as you make sure to tell your guests before hand

We will be having a full dinner reception and then have added in the late night snack! In order to afford this we will be having a cash bar vs an open bar!

We are having a cocktail reception. Paritally to save money of dinner, so that we can offer an open bar, and partially because the formal dinner and many other aspects of traditional weddings "freak us out".

Knowing the roots of many traditions really turns me off from them, and the ritualistic part of ceremony really gets to me. (Dinner doens't have any bad history- just not our style.) But a lot of our plans are out of the ordinary becasue of this.
