Flower girl songs?

Sarah, on May 22, 2021 at 22:04 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 7
What is everyone playing for the flower girls to walk down the aisle to?Am I crazy for even considering let it go from frozen in an instrumental version? The kids are young and most are die hard frozen fans.

Awesome thank you 😊 I might just have the wedding party walk alongside their own children as this is a very intimate family event for us and the amount of men far outweigh the women in the party.

We didn't change songs as the wedding party was broken with flower kids followed by each side of grooms' MOH and BM (Best Man) and the same for my side followed by 3 others flower kids. I have seen other way around though songs only change for the bride aisle walk.

I've been to weddings where the groom is just waiting at the front of the aisle and there's no entrance at all. I've been to others where there's a full procession with the groom, his close family, and his groomsmen all walking down the aisle first and then the bride, her family, and bridesmaids all follow. None of them is wrong or right - just what the couple wanted to do. And for music you can do whatever combination you want. I know it seems like there are rules about this kind of thing but it's your wedding so you should just do what you want!

The only thing I'd keep in mind is timing. You don't want to be switching songs every 30-60 seconds to account for a new group of people because it might start to feel a bit jumpy - kind of like the feeling you get when someone can't listen to a whole song and keeps skipping halfway through haha. So think about how many people you have in each group walking down the aisle and whether it makes sense for each group to have their own song or for some groups to share songs.

Perfect thank you so much now I just have to figure out the song for them.Do you know if the groomsmen should walk down to the same song or do they normally just appear with the groom?

I won’t be having a flower girl at my wedding but I have never been to a wedding where the flower girl(s) walks down the aisle to their own song. Usually you have a song for your flower girl and bridesmaids and one for you. You do you though!

If restrictions lift we will have anywhere from 4-6 little ones walking down the aisle ranging from 2-7 years old.I haven’t been to a wedding with flower girls since I was a child myself so I have no idea how to plan it lol.Maybe I can have the older kids help guide the little ones so that they don’t just stop somewhere in the middle.Thank you for your help 🥰

I'm not sure how you were planning their walk but for our wedding (and most I've seen) they followed the bridesmaids so for the 20 seconds they were (if that) alone on the aisle it wouldn't have made sense for them to have their own song. We did the same song for everyone except me. It's your wedding though - you get to do whatever you want!!!
