Floating candle centerpieces advice needed!

Grace, on May 21, 2019 at 03:26 Posted in DIY 0 4
Hi everyone!

I’m thinking of putting together 3 hurricane vases with floating candles per table, and am wondering if any of you know how long it takes to set them up and take them down?
We have limited time at our venue, and everything has to be set up and taken down in the same day. Whats the most efficient way to dump all the water out afterwards?

Thanks!

Ooo, I love the idea of getting a trolly! I’ll contact our venue coordinator about that. Our hurricane vases are standard sized, not too big so I’m not worried about the amount of water, more so the amount of time from each table to the washroom.

Thanks a lot for your ideas Cliodhna!!

    Hi Grace!

    Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

Great advice from Becky, I would encourage you to do the same!

The bucket sounds like a good idea if it isn't super messy.

Have you considered getting a trolly, or using the venues trolly, to bring the vases from the washroom to the tables and back again? This could speed up the process for you Smiley smile

How large are the hurricane vases you plan on getting? How many liters of water would they hold each?

    Thanks Becky!

There is a washroom on the same floor. We have 18 tables and the space is pretty spread out. I was thinking of maybe bringing bigger buckets in to speed up the process. But yes, I should time it!

    HI Grace,

Is there a kitchen near by you can use to dump them all out? I would do a test time of filling three up and then having to pour three out. and taking all of the items out. Also add a few minutes to get to where you would need to dump and back- if there are multiple people shouldn't take more than 20 minutes depending on the amount of tables.
