First time meeting the family

His family though his parents passed away when he was a kid, welcomed me into their home.

My family took time to absorb to make him feel part of the family. They accepted him finally after and saw that he took care of me good.

Not awkward at allVery welcoming for both families

We both come from divorced families and he's not close with his. He met my family at my birthday where we went bowling, my family loved him instantly and he got along with everyone. I met his mom years later when we reconnected and she wasn't a fan of me (mom's never like me LOL)...come to think of it, she still isn't. His dad on the other hand was really nice to me and my FH has a better relationship with him now thanks to me.

It went very well if I remember correctly.

My Fiancé met my mom really fast because I was living at home at the time. They got really close fast! I met his sister and Dad in the summer when we went over for a BBQ. his dad is for sure the Grill Master! I didn't meet his Mom until 5 months in our relationship as she lives in Montreal. We went over for Thanksgiving with his grandparents, it was awesome, they are so nice.

His mom's 40th birthday!

I had met his dad just casually. I was nervous but it was very short to the point where I felt like me being nervous was such a silly thing. I met his mom at a wedding. My fiancee's grand uncle had started an awkward conversation with me and wouldn't stop. My fiancee's mom was hovering behind the grand uncle around for a few minutes until she saw a moment to sneak in and save me + saying hi LOL

He met my daughters first 2 friends and then my younger brother. My Mom was about a month later. They were all very respectful and accepting my Mom thought he was sooo handsome.

I met his family the first day we had hung out actually. I was coming home from Windsor as I was visiting my dad for Christmas Holiday's! Neither of us had our license and my mom and step-dad were on a trip and so his dad, sister and himself picked me up from the train station and then I went to his house! He had met my nanny that day as she was watching the animals at my house and I needed to go and unpack all my things and shower! His family was very welcoming besides his brother but now his brother and I are extremely close! He met my mom and step-dad shortly after and they didn't like my fiancé at all. My dad and step-mom met him about the first year into us dating because of them living 5 hours away from us and they absolutely loved him!!!!

I have never met his family because his mom is in heaven and his father walked away from him as a child. So my family os his family.

We met each other's parents in the same weekend. We had been dating for a few weeks and it was Easter. We did dinner with my mum and her boyfriend one night and then dinner at his parent's place the next. I met one of his sister's soon after that and the other one I met in the summer as she lived far away at the time. Everything went well and that summer, we'd been dating 4 or 5 months, I spent a week with my FH and his family at their cottage.

I was trembling down. His parents just came back for Morocco and I was already living at their house without them knowing. So it was really awkward, but they were so nice with me.

I was so nervous. It was at Easter at his Mom's. His brother and his brothers girlfriend were there. Obviously it we t well and everyone was really sweet but I was probably so quiet and shy and didn't say much.
