Hi wonderful brides Smiley heart

I love to hear about different different wedding traditions and ideas! Smiley smile

First Nation weddings are different from one nation to another. In this wedding in Cape Croker Park, Nayaashiinigming (Ontario) every gesture becomes meaningful Smiley catface

How do you like this intimate ceremony?

Nation Ritual

Everyone shares the four main foods: corn, buffalo meat, berries and water

Intimate CeremonyFood Tradition

Will you also incorporate ancestral traditions in your wedding?

I always find other customs so interesting!

It also facinates me how while each culture has different variations of traditions, but certain things always seem consistent. Elders or religious leaders lead a ceremony, there is a unity symbol, sharing of meals....no matter where go go, these seem to always be part of a marriage ceremony.

I love the eagle feathers and how when they are tied together, they then symbolize the eternal bond they share.
