First Nation weddings are different from one nation to another. In this wedding in Cape Croker Park, Nayaashiinigming (Ontario) every gesture becomes meaningful

We have been discussing some ancestral traditions. We are having a legal handfasting ceremony.The native ceremonies are so deeply moving and represent the elements. This is a beautiful ceremony

I always find other customs so interesting!

It also facinates me how while each culture has different variations of traditions, but certain things always seem consistent. Elders or religious leaders lead a ceremony, there is a unity symbol, sharing of meals....no matter where go go, these seem to always be part of a marriage ceremony.
