I like Amazed by Lonestar or Everything I Do by Bryan Adams. FH likes Dream Come True by Frozen Ghost. We have a few options but no definite choice just yet.

My FH and I are using a cover of Queen - you're my best friend for our first dance. We listened to so many songs and this one was perfect!

For our wedding we used Green Eyes by Coldplay (one of the first songs my DH learnt on guitar so that he could sing to me out at my family cabin, but of course I have green eyes too).

The other songs we used for our ceremony/entrance are on this playlist: Wedding - Main Songs

A good bunch of pop love songs are originally country songs, or at least have country versions. All-4-One's I Swear, 98 Degrees' I Do (Cherish You), Brian McKnight's Back at One are a few examples. Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You was originally performed by Dolly Parton.

We don’t have any songs that we both love, and our music genres are opposite lol! I want a countryish sounding first dance song and he’s willing to go one as well!

I think this depends on what you want for your dance. Are you hoping to recreate Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud to some certain extent or are you just swaying back and forth in a circle? Despite how the first dance should reflect an intimate moment between the two of you, many people seem to consider the performative aspects since you're being watched by everyone in attendance.

Is there a genre of music you like (or want to avoid)?

After months of me suggesting songs to FH, we settled on You've Got the Love by Florence and the Machine. He didn't want anything too slow or too long, and we kind of stumbled upon the song!
A few of my other favorites were Can't Help Falling in Love by Haley Reinhart (a cover of the Elvis song) and Hold You in My Arms by Ray LaMontange (I had a few of his songs on my maybe list).
