First dance

Hey everyone.. question regarding first dance .. don't know when we should do it before guest congratulate us after the greeting or fisrt course meal ... as also my future hubby and I are doing a second dance which is a tango where I have to probably change dress if I can't dance with the one I have on . any suggestions much appreciated

    I agree with everyone that the first dance should be earlier and the tango should be after dinner.

    We're doing our first dance as soon as we enter the reception. Typically at that point, people will have already congratulated you, or they'll do it as you visit them at the tables during dinner.

    I agree with the others. First dance as soon as you enter the reception space, followed by your second dance after dinner once you've had a chance to change.

    I would definitely do the first dance as soon as you are introduced and then do the other dance later on

    If you're planning on two dances, then I'd suggest:

    - The slow dance right as both of you're being introduced/welcomed back to the reception area after the cocktail hour, but before dinner.

    - The tango could be after dinner, giving you all time to eat, talk to your guests, change and get ready!

    That’s an awesome idea! I would do you first dance right after your entrance into the reception, and then do dinner. Once dinner is over you could sneak away to change and kick off the dance by doing your tango.
