Find your seat

Desiree, on July 1, 2021 at 17:25 Posted in DIY 1 7
Does anyone have tips or tricks on how to make find your seat cards 4x6 . I’m not very tech savvy so trying to edit and make them is becoming a challenge.

What I plan on doing for my seating chart or "find your seat" is I got an old vintage door that has glass window panes, and I'm doing to write in each pane the table number and list of people seated at that table! I've also bought some garland and battery-operated twinkling lights that I'm going to drape over the door to give it that rustic/chic look. Just make sure you have enough panes for the amount of tables Smiley smile

Escort or Name cards are nice though its wasted if guests don't take them and see their seats. I did this with rows of colours and numbers with a nice maple leaf clips attached to the cards. The sign board with strings and clips is a nice idea that is being used more and just create the table numbers on windows word program with the guest names on it. Couples as one, families as one and Individuals alone. You can create 2 different fonts making them show to your suited style. a window panel with dividers is also a nice idea to use as a guide with coloured paper if chosen.

That's even easier! Just buy letter sized craft paper at Staples. They have all kinds, like regular ivory paper, textured paper, or you can choose from a bunch of fancy designs ( here's one where it looks like marble ). No need for any special template on MS Word. Just choose a font and type out the text on Word or any word processor (even Wordpad can do it - see picture below). Print out at home.

I did this on Wordpad (comes with all Windows computers) in 30 seconds.

Staples have generic perforated tent cards that you can load into a printer at home. Find the template off Microsoft Word (the package will tell you how to do this) and customize the text on it.

Or you can order them off Vistaprint. They have online templates that you can choose and from there, you just add the info onto the design,

By the way, I feel like 4x6 cards are pretty big for seating/table cards. That's a standard postcard size.
