I’ve been putting together the jars for our tea and coffee favours over the last couple days. We’re banking on having about 90-95 guests and I currently have 60 jars (1.75” x 1.75” x 2.75”), each of which holds about 3tbsp of contents. Assuming that’s about 3-4 servings of tea/coffee per jar, should we have enough jars for 1 per person or 1 per couple with some extras for families?

Thanks, all! Looks like I'm ordering more! And I'll definitely take the coffee/tea conundrum under consideration.

I would do one per person. Also I would address who drinks coffee vs. tea - you don't want someone who hates tea to be "stuck" with a tea favour.

For couples/families, I'd make sure they get both. One in the couple/family gets coffee and the other gets tea to balance things out!

I really really wanted to do coffee/tea favours but I had the same issue as one of the ladies below mentioned - how much coffee versus tea do you put out?

You definitely want enough favours for all guests - where it gets hard is, per couple and per family vs. someone who is on their own.

We're inviting ~325 individual people and we picked up 160 favours I think. which works out to 10 extra favours once we worked out who would come alone, in a couple and in a family.

I always say to have more than you think you'll need.

I would say to have enough for everybody minus your and your FH. For the guests who are single and they get one then the couples should get one per person as well. Rather have too many than not enough right?

What a cool idea! I guess it also depends on how many of your guests drink coffee and how many tea? If you do exactly half and half that may leave the tea drinkers or coffee drinkers out?

60 probably won't be enough. You might be able to get away with 80-90.

Thanks! I think we will have them on their own table but I’m still not convinced 60 is enough... As for families, there won’t be any kids under 14 and there are only 2 of those - the next youngest are 17 and up.

I think if they are on their own table vs at each place setting you could get away with having a few less than the number of guests. Some couples will only take 1, some will take 2, and some people will forget about favors entirely. As far as families go, I can't imagine kids wanting coffee or tea, so maybe have something different for them (wedding coloring books, bubbles).
